VIDEO: Semi barrels through intersection, flips over

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A video of a semi-truck plowing through the intersection of West Fillmore Street and North Chestnut Street on Tuesday, Jan. 23, shows the reason for lane closures reported earlier on Tuesday.

FOX21 News viewer Matt, who submitted the video to us, was sitting in the intersection when the crash happened. The video was recorded from his dashcam.

The gripping video shows a view of the intersection from the east side. All is quiet for a few seconds and then suddenly a huge truck sails across North Chestnut Street and flips over in the parking lot of a gas station on the northeast corner of the intersection.

CSPD reported that the driver was removed from the truck. FOX21 is watching for any further updates on the driver’s condition or the reason for the crash.
