He was boating on Lake Tahoe when this video of bear inside his home popped up on phone

Video shows a bear inside a Lake Tahoe apartment in Kings Beach, California, where it slept in the tenant’s bed while he wasn’t home.

The incident was captured on a Ring camera in July.

“I was out enjoying a boat ride with my best friend and his family,” the tenant, identified as Brian, told ring.com. “Around 11:30 a.m., I received a notification from my Ring motion camera that was positioned in my living room. I waited about three minutes for the video to process, and then I looked and was shocked to see a large bear present in my living room.”

Brian notified his landlord who happened to be upstairs that there was a bear in his unit, according to Ring.

The property manager was also nearby and peeked in through a broken screen on a window where the bear had entered. He saw that the bear was sleeping on the bed, and started making loud noises until the bear popped up and climbed back out and ran off, according to Ring.

Brian arrived home shortly afterward.

“We slowly walked up to the front door and went in cautiously, and discovered the mess the bear had left, which consisted of a pile of peanut shells and garbage on the floor,” Brian said. “The bear fortunately did not get into my refrigerator or freezer and did not poop or pee inside either. He did destroy an OLED TV that was in my bedroom, and also my comforter and sheets as well as some scratches on a dresser. He has been back to the complex, but not my apartment.”
