Video shows distracted driver crashing into another, flipping SUV

Duluth police said that as officers were working a separate investigation, they had to jump into action as they watched two SUVs collide.

The police department posted video of the crash — along Peachtree Industrial Boulevard — of one of the vehicles speeding through the intersection, running a red light and then crashing into another SUV, causing it to flip on its side.

“Both officers ran over to assist the occupants of the vehicles, and thankfully no serious injuries were reported,” the department said in a post on Facebook.

The faulty driver told police that they were looking at what the officers were doing instead of paying attention to the road.

Officers said that driver was cited for the wreck.
