It would be great to see Next Gen Stats’ probability of this throw being completed.

On Sunday, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was really close to being sacked for a loss of 15 yards when he escaped and threw a crazy pass diagonally across the field to Tyreek Hill for a 19-yard gain.

Penalties on the Chiefs and Washington nullified the play, but that doesn’t mean this bonkers pass is not worth watching on repeat.

Chances are you’ve likely seen the throw but if not, here it is again:

A second video of the pass was shared on Twitter by R. Billingsley, and somehow the pass looks even more amazing. This video is going viral.

When Mahomes releases the pass, Hill can’t be seen in the video. But he runs to the spot where the ball is headed, showing the great chemistry between Hill and Mahomes.

It’s unlikely a quarterback would throw that pass without knowing his receiver would get to the ball.

And it’s unlikely a receiver would know to run to that spot without having worked frequently with his quarterback.

That was just an amazing play from the Chiefs’ 31-13 win at Washington.
