Michelle Obama Highlights Plight of Kidnapped Nigerian Girls

In an unusual move by the White House, First Lady Michelle Obama stepped in for her husband to deliver the weekly radio address. Obama highlighted the plight of more than 200 school girls who were kidnapped in Nigeria by the Islamist Boko Haram group. “My husband and I are outraged and heartbroken,” she says. Obama decries Boko Haram as “terrorists” and “grown men attempting to snuff out the aspirations of young girls.” Credit: YouTube/White House
