Pete Buttigieg and his polling problem with black voters

Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg is having a strong second half of 2019 with voters in Iowa, surging 18 points in the polls to lead all other Democratic candidates in the field. But Buttigieg has not been able to resonate with all groups of voters across the country, lacking support particularly among African-Americans. In South Carolina, Buttigieg is polling zero percent among black Democrats.
