Get A First Look At The Newly Re-Released Viennetta Cake And Relive Your Childhood Dreams

Earlier this month we learned the news that the iconic Viennetta ice cream cake of the '80s and '90s was coming back to the United States. The discontinued item hasn't been around for 30 years and now fans new and old can look forward to trying the beloved cake out for themselves.
Good Humor announced the return in press release that included news about flavors coming to their Talenti and Klondike brands but the Viennetta cake is something to really celebrate. The cakes are made with layers of ice cream and frozen chocolate for something that adds extra crunch and snack account @Dadbodsnacks was sent a preview of the cake to try out. Thankfully, it seems the returning item will exceed all expectations.
"The infamous British frozen vanilla dessert that so many of us loved when we were little is back in your grocer’s freezer. Not sure why it has a '#new' sticker on there, but I’m not going to complain. I’m excited," he wrote. "The ribbons of light and airy vanilla 'ice cream' layered with crunchy chocolate sheets of happiness is a #throwback for the ages."

We've become accustomed to old treats coming back, but you might want to sit down for this SUPER exciting throwback news. Good Humor just announced they're bringing back Vinnetta Ice Cream cakes, perhaps the most iconic and fanciest frozen treat of the '80s and '90s.
The chain tucked the news into a massive press release announcing everything from new Talenti flavors to a new Klondike donut, all of which is of course also VERY exciting, but when we saw the word "Viennetta," we totally lost it. The brand says fans have been clamoring for its return for almost 30 years and we couldn't be happier that they finally brought it back.
For those who weren't around when this treat first hit popularity, it's made with layers of ice cream and frozen chocolate for something that, as a kid, looked like it belonged on the table in a mansion. Now, it's coming back in a classic Vanilla Viennetta combining a "wavy frozen vanilla base between crispy, decadent chocolate layers in a unique cake shape that is perfectly portioned for an entire family to share."
