Here’s a view of the metro-east softball results from Wednesday and Thursday

The metro-east softball season continued with several games Wednesday and Thursday.

Here is a quick view of some of the outcomes.

Belleville West 12, Alton 5

The Maroons coasted to a 7-run victory over the Redbirds.

Belleville West improved to 8-5 overall and 4-1 in the Southwestern Conference. Alton fell to 3-7, 1-3.

Caleigh Dashner led the Maroons with 3 hits and 3 RBI. Oliva Anderson added 2 hits and 3 RBI. Paige Morris led Alton with 2 hits and 1 RBI.

Kaylee Asher pitched a complete game with 3 strikeouts for the win.

Look ahead: Belleville West hosts Columbia at 4:30 p.m. Monday, April 17. Alton hosts Granite City at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 15.

Breese Central 10, Wood River 4

The Cougars downed the Oilers in a 6-run win.

Breese Central improved to 6-6 overall and 2-3 in the Mississippi Division of the Cahokia Conference. Wood River fell to 4-9, 0-5.

Claire Albers led Breese Central with 4 hits and 1 RBI. Jordan Ealey and Jayde Kassler led Wood River with 2 hits and 1 RBI each.

Alyse Monken won the game with her 6 strikeouts.

Red Bud 4, Sparta 0

The Musketeers coasted to 4-run win over the Bulldogs.

Red Bud improved to 8-6 overall and 3-2 in the Illinois Division of the Cahokia Conference.

Multiple Musketeers led the way with 2 hits and 1 RBI. Oliva Geralds allowed just 4 hits in 7 innings pitched.

Gillespie 6, O’Fallon 3

The Miners posted a 3-run win over the Panthers.

O’Fallon fell to 2-7.

Freeburg 8, Columbia 3

The Midgets rolled past the Eagles in a 5-run victory.

Freeburg improved to 14-1 overall and 5-0 in the Mississippi Division of the Cahokia Conference. Columbia fell to 6-5, 2-3.

Nicole Edmiaston led Freeburg with 2 hits and 4 RBI. Emma Otten chipped in 3 hits and 2 RBI. Elle van Breusegen led Columbia with 1 hit and 1 RBI.

Samantha Roulanaitis pitched a complete game with 7 strikeouts for the win.

Belleville East 14, Collinsville 1

The Lancers dominated with a 13-run win over the Kahoks.

Belleville East improved to 12-4-1 overall and 4-1 in the Southwestern Conference. Collinsville fell to 1-13, 1-5.

Serenity Childress led the Lancers with 3 hits. Emma Hylton and Brittany Sarginson led Collinsville with 1 hit each.

Olivia Hemmerle pitched a no-hitter in 5 innings.

Triad 4, Civic Memorial 1 (Wednesday)

The Knights got by the Eagles with a 3-run win.

Triad improved to 4-6 overall and 1-1 in the Mississippi Valley Conference. Civic Memorial fell to 8-3, 1-1.

Logan Looby led Triad with 2 hits and 2 RBI. Avari Combes led the Eagles with 1 hit and 1 RBI.

Delaney Hess won the game, allowing just 4 hits.

Waterloo 15, Gibault 0

The Bulldogs got a decisive 15-run win over the Hawks.

Waterloo, which defeated Mascoutah 4-2 in Mississippi Valley Conference action earlier this week, improved to 9-3. Gibault fell to 3-6.

Emma Day led Waterloo with 2 hits and 4 RBI. Multiple Hawks had 1 hit.

Aiden Dintelman pitched a complete game with 7 strikeouts for the win.

Nashville 16, Mater Dei 14

The Hornets led got past the Knights with a 2-run win in a slugfest.

Nashville improved to 5-8. Mater Dei fell to 11-1.

Highland 13, Jerseyville 3 (Wednesday)

The Bulldogs went on to a 10-run win over the Panthers.

Highland improved to 4-5-1 and 2-0 in the Mississippi Valley Conference. Jerseyville fell to 7-4, 0-2.

Maggie Grohmann led Highland with 2 hits and 3 RBI. Jerseyville was led by Briad Tuttle with 4 hits and 1 RBI.

Sophia Donoho won the game with 8 strikeouts.
