Sunny Hostin has re-upping her contract with ABC and The View.

The View co-host has signed a multi-year, multi-million-dollar deal to continue her hosting duties on ABC’s flagship talk show, according to Variety. Hostin will host through the show’s 28th season.

This news comes on the heels of The View promoting Alyssa Farah Griffin and Ana Navarro to permanent hosting spots.

According to Variety, Hostin's deal will see her not only continuing to host 'The View,' but to also appear in special ABC television events and give commentary for '20/20,' 'Nightline' and 'Good Morning America.'

With Hostin and other hosts, including Whoopi Goldberg, being confirmed until Season 28, this means that The View will have all hands on deck when it comes to covering the contentious political midterms.

For viewers, this might mean a lot of headaches, since regular watchers of the series have already expressed their displeasure at Farah Griffin being named a permanent co-host. From what Shadow and Act has reported about The View‘s audience, a wide number are tired of the show promoting former Trump administration members as well as controversial, potentially damaging viewpoints, such as opinions regarding COVID-19 protocols.

Hostin talked to Shadow and Act in February about representing women of color on 'The View' and within her new production company.

“There’s real power and there’s a responsibility, of course, representing a community. And that’s something that we talked about,” she said. “But I recently started a production company, Sunny Hostin Productions, which is backed by Disney. And it’s unbelievable how much power there is behind the camera, and I didn’t really understand the importance of that until I started my production company about a year and a half ago.”
