The ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas has stirred strong responses in New Jersey, where communities, organizations, faith groups and students are organizing demonstrations, rallies, vigils and educational and dialogue events.

Feb. 9

Interfaith vigil hosted by NJ 11th for Palestine: Mourning the more than 27,000 Palestinians killed in Gaza. 357 S. Livingston Ave., Livingston, starting at 5 p.m. Constituents are asking Congresswoman Mikie Sherrill to reflect on her motherhood so that the children and parents of Gaza can be met with compassion and humanitarian aid. The group is calling on Sherrill to call for a permanent and lasting ceasefire in Gaza.
