Vikings cornerback Cameron Dantzler, who missed the entire week of practice while dealing with a family matter, was inactive for Sunday’s playoff game against the New York Giants.

Head coach Kevin O’Connell said Friday that Dantzler was dealing with a “pretty serious” matter and he was listed as questionable for the game at U.S. Bank Stadium. Dantzler, bothered by ankle issues, missed seven of the final nine regular-season games.

Safety Harrison Smith (knee) and running back Kene Nwangwu (illness) also were listed as questionable but both were active for the game.

Also inactive for the Vikings were running back Ty Chandler, edge rusher Luiji Vilain, and defensive linemen Esezi Otomewo and Ross Blacklock.

Inactive for the Giants were cornerback Rodarius Williams, running back Jashaun Corbin, linebacker Micah McFadden, receiver Kalil Pimpleton, defensive lineman Henry Mondeaux, and guards Wyatt Davis and Jack Anderson. Davis played for the Vikings last season as a rookie.
