VIKES’ COUSINS WINS WEEK, BUCS’ BRADY KEEPS SEASON LEAD, FINS’ TAGOVAILOA RISES IN MIAMI HERALD’S NFL QUARTERBACK RANKINGS THROUGH WEEK 6: Minnesota’s Kirk Cousins wins Week 6 honors with a 50.65-point game -- the sixth different weekly winner in six weeks in the Miami Herald’s updated NFL quarterback rankings. Tampa Bay’s Tom Brady holds the overall No. 1 spot for the third time this season and second week in row. Miami’s Tua Tagovailoa, back after three games out injured, spun a 38.65-point game, tied for seventh best for the week, to bump up three spots to 33rd overall. This is the 24th year for our annual rankings, which began in 1998 — Steve Young the inaugural season champion. Our rankings factor accuracy, passing yardage, touchdown/interception ratio and team result. They are passer ratings per se and do not include a QB’s running statistics. Most major passer rankings including the NFL’s and ESPN’s are percentile based, allowing a player who misses half a season to still win a title. Our system is cumulative, rewarding players who are consistently productive and avoid injury or benching. The top 20 (plus Dolphins) after Week 6:
