Vikings at Lions: Keys to game, how to watch, who has the edge

The Vikings can clinch their first NFC North title since 2017 with a win or a tie. Minnesota started the week as a 1½-point favorite but the line shifted after there was a lot of action on the Lions, who have won four of their past five games.

The game marks a return to Detroit for Vikings tight end T.J. Hockenson, who played his first 3½ professional seasons for the Lions before being traded to Minnesota on Oct. 31. He scored a touchdown for Detroit in the first meeting this season between the teams, a 28-24 Vikings win on Sept. 25 at U.S. Bank Stadium.

The Vikings could get tackle Christian Darrisaw back after he has missed the past two games due to a concussion. And there is a good chance cornerback Cameron Dantzler could be activated off injured reserve after missing the last four games with an ankle injury.

The Lions are ranked 32nd and last in the NFL in total defense and the Vikings are No. 31. Detroit is sixth in the NFL in scoring offense with an average of 26.3 points and has averaged 31.8 in the last four games. Quarterback Jared Goff threw for 340 yards and two touchdowns in last Sunday’s 40-14 win over Jacksonville.
