A sprawling and glamorous villa with some serious Hollywood — and royal — connections has landed on the real estate market in the French Riviera.

“Les Moulins du Villars” is located in Provence-Alpes Cote d’Azur in France, and its stunning luxuries used to be enjoyed by the Princess of Monaco herself — Hollywood icon Grace Kelly, the listing on Sotheby’s International Realty says. The Princess was said to have relaxed on the grounds and took to the villa’s “natural spring-water streams throughout,” the listing notes.

Princess Grace Kelly found the springs soothing, and enjoyed spending time on the property to recharge her batteries and recuperate,” real estate agent Peter Illovsky told Mansion Global.

The property is listed for $12.9 million, has seven bedrooms and is 6,469 square feet. While the estate’s inside is gorgeous, the area where it sits looks like something out of a fairy tale.

“The property boasts breathtaking views and natural spring-water streams throughout,” the listing says. “It is situated in a nature reserve, making it a haven of complete peace.”

Features of the property include:

  • Olive groves

  • Fruit trees

  • Over 100 cypresses

  • Two vegetable gardens

  • Elevator

  • Two living rooms

  • Two guest suites

  • Wine cellar

The home was a former olive oil mill built in the 14th century, the listing says. And there are other buildings on the estate as well.

“The Sanctuary, a semi-restored ruin dating from Roman times, is an ancient flour mill and industrial forge with ancient ornamental fish ponds,” the listing describes. “It is now used for parties, musical soirees, and seminars. The Cabanon is a charming two-room guest house with basic amenities. The India guest suite, situated next to the pool, offers luxury accommodation in a Rajastani ambiance.”

Kelly rose to fame in Hollywood as the “It Girl” of director of Alfred Hitchcock before she ditched the screen to marry Rainier III, prince of Monaco in 1956. She died in 1982 after suffering a stroke while driving in the Cote d’Azur region.
