1. Village health leaders are assessing Oak Park’s COVID-19 mitigations as cases decline from the peak of the omicron surge. “Local health officials fully anticipate lifting the proof of vaccination requirement Feb. 28,” the village said in a statement this week. (VOP)

2. The Proviso Teachers Union postponed its strike vote after the school district offered another mediation session Friday. School board President Rodney Alexander said Tuesday is the soonest day a strike could move forward. (Forest Park Review)

3. Six vehicles were targeted by catalytic converter thieves in Brookfield last week, according to police. At least five of the thefts occurred overnight on Feb. 9. (Landmark)
