Villagers greet Ukrainian soldiers with flowers
STORY: “We are throwing the flowers on everyone who passes. On tanks and on cars, on everybody,” Valentyna Buhaiova, a local resident, told Reuters.
“We’ve been sitting with those flowers for the whole day, my darling! My dear saviours!” Nataliia Porkhun, a local resident, told Oleksii and Ruslan, Ukrainian servicemen who were just coming back from Kherson.
“All the people are celebrating in Kherson! Singing Ukrainian songs!” said Ruslan, adding that the atmosphere in Kherson was impressive.
