Couple Receives Unexpected Wedding RSVP Response
A couple based in Oregon received a surprise RSVP response after sending an invitation to the wrong address. “I wish I knew you—this is going to be a blast,” a note from the stranger read. “Congratulations—go have dinner on me. I’ve been married for 40 years—it gets better with age.” The individual also included a $20 bill in the letter.
“I just felt so blessed that someone would take the time to send it back,” Cassandra Warren told us. “It helped my stress level and put some things into prospective.”
Bride Sends Brother Out in a Wedding Dress for the First Look
One couple reveled in the viral wedding spotlight after the bride sent her brother out in a wedding dress for the first look. According to photographer Nichole Cline, the bride had noticed the groom was “super jittery and super nervous,” so she sent her brother instead. The sibling was so committed to the prank that he even doused himself in her perfume and deodorant. “He wanted to smell like her,” Cline told us. “And he just came from work at a restaurant.”

Bride Who Demanded Guests Wear Louboutins in Dress Code Holds Polygraph Party
One person experienced viral fame after her list of dress code demands went viral. The requirements included rather lofty pieces like Louboutin heels and Burberry scarves, but beyond the price tag, the bride received negative feedback after she had divided her dress code demands up by gender and weight.
After learning that her posts on Facebook had been exposed by one of her guests, she then boldly proclaimed she was throwing a polygraph party to track down the person who had leaked the information on Reddit.
That post also went viral.
Woman’s Ring Selfie at Space Mountain Goes Viral
After receiving her dream proposal at Disneyland, one future bride had the perfect announcement for her newly-engaged status while riding Space Mountain. “I told my now fiancé forever ago that it was my dream to get engaged in front of a Disney castle and it is also my favorite place in the world,” Vargas told Good Morning America in July. “I’ve been a Disney fanatic my whole life. It is also my dream to get married there.”

Bride Charges Guests $1,500 Per Person to Fund Her “Dream Wedding”
Instead, it was a nightmare scenario for guests. One bride’s wedding story went viral in August after she had to cancel her wedding—all because her guests refused to pay $1,500 to attend her wedding. “I specifically, I mean specifically, asked for cash gifts,” she wrote in a post that went viral across Facebook and Reddit. “How could we have our wedding that we dreamed of without proper funding? We’d sacrificed so much and only asked each guest for around $1,500. We talked to a few people who even promised us more to make our dream come true.”
Unfortunately, people were not so accommodating to her outrageous demands. “I just wanted to be a Kardashian for a day and then live my life like normal,” the bride wrote.
Bride Slips on Cat Shirt and Sweatpants for First Look
One bride had an adorable alternative first look idea planned for her husband the day of their wedding. The woman slipped into an oversize shirt from Walmart with a graphic of a cat along with sweatpants for the first look session. “I thought it would be really funny for Ean to turn around, expecting this huge moment of me looking gorgeous in my dress with my makeup and hair done,” she told Yahoo, “only to turn around and see me in one of my typically embarrassing casual outfits.”
Their photographer loved it. “This is the story of the BEST first look I’ve ever witnessed,” the photographer wrote on Instagram. “A few weeks ago, Erin reached out to me to adjust the timeline because she wanted to do a ‘fake’ first look. I had no clue what she meant by that, but soon described to me this GORGEOUS cat shirt and 10 year old sweat pants and I knew this had to be done!” Molly McElenney wrote on Instagram.

Third Wheeling Best Man Returns for Couple’s Maternity Shoot
A best man who went viral for photobombing his friend’s engagement and wedding photos returned in March to reprise his role as the third wheel in the relationship. This time it was for his friend’s maternity session.

“After the engagement and wedding photos got so much attention and so many laughs, we thought it would be fun to do an ‘update’ when the next journey started,” photographer Lindsey Berger of Country Roads Photography told The Knot. “Then, Brittney and Kody got pregnant, so we thought this would be the perfect timing. We had to add in the baby boots just to [get] that next dynamic to the group.”
