Viral YouTuber Kevin Samuels cause of death revealed

The cause of death has been determined for YouTube personality and influencer Kevin Samuels, the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office told Channel 2 Action News.

Samuels, 53, died in May as a result of hypertension, the report says.

“It is my opinion that Kevin Samuels died due to hypertension (high blood pressure),” according to examiner Karen E. Sullivan. “Evidence of hypertension includes a heart whose chambers are thicker than normal (ventricular hypertrophy). Amiodarone is used to treat cardiac dysrhythmias including atrial fibrillation and supraventricular and ventricular tachycardia (abnormal heart rhythms associated with rapid heart rate). Atenolol is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure). The manner of Mr. Samuels’ death is classified as due to natural causes.”

Atlanta police said they were called to an apartment on Paces Ferry Road in May where they found paramedics administering CPR to Samuels, who was unresponsive.

He was rushed to Piedmont Hospital, where he died.

Samuels had more than 1.4 million subscribers on YouTube, where he gave hot takes on dating and relationships.
