Virgin River's Alexandra Breckenridge reunites with co-star

Virgin River’s Alexandra Breckenridge has reunited with co-star Zibby Allen ahead of the show’s newest batch of episodes.
The pair play Mel Monroe and Brie Sheridan respectively on the Netflix show, which is due to return later this year with a fifth season, and caught up for dinner at Breckenridge’s rural house in Georgia.

Alexandra posted a video of the reunion on her Instagram account, which included a clip of her daughter foraging for mushrooms in the garden, which would be used for dinner with Allen.
“So my daughter and I were taking a walk in our backyard,” began Breckenridge in the voiceover for the video. “I look over to my left and I see a gold patch and I'm like, 'Oh, I know exactly what that is,' because at this time of year, everybody goes bananas for these chanterelle mushrooms and they go and forage them.
“I’ve never really done it before because I don’t want to go into the forest and pick some mushrooms that could be poisonous, but this year I decided I was going to go for it,” she continued. “I made sure they were not poisonous - I did a lot of research.

“My friends got together, we cleaned the mushrooms, peeled them apart and made a mushroom risotto. It was freaking delicious,” she added, with the video showing the process of the dish and the end product.
Ahead of the show’s fifth season, which is due to premiere in the autumn, Martin Henderson revealed that he was on the mend following a bout of coronavirus, with the actor taking a photo of his recovery as he wrote: “Been sick with covid for the last week and time to get strong again.”
Virgin River seasons 1-4 are streaming now on Netflix. Season 5 has been confirmed.
