Virginia Beach DMV to close for nearly a month during renovations

The Department of Motor Vehicles customer service center on Buckner Boulevard in Virginia Beach is closing for nearly a month for renovations.

The center will close after business hours Saturday and remain closed through April 10. Renovations will include a new countertop design, interior paint, a new roof and updates to the parking lot and restrooms.

Customers can do some business online at dmvNOW.com. For in-person transactions such as registration renewals or license plates, nearby customer service locations in Virginia Beach’s Hilltop area, Norfolk’s Military Circle and Chesapeake will remain open.
