Virginia Beach firefighters battle large apartment complex blaze in Chic’s Beach area

Red and blue emergency lights illuminated smoke emitting from an apartment unit off Pleasure House Road in Virginia Beach as fire crews battled a large blaze.

Virginia Beach Fire Department was dispatched to the 4700 block of Birdsong Lane, according to tweet posted by the department just after 7:20 p.m. The burning building is part of Windsong Apartments.

Additional details were not immediately available.
