Virginia Energy to host second educational meeting

BIG STONE GAP, Va. (WJHL) — The Virginia Department of Energy will host its second educational meeting on energy projects in Southwest Virginia.

The meeting will occur on March 21 at 6 p.m. at the Goodloe Center at Mountain Empire Community College in Big Stone Gap.

Attendees will be able to learn more about projects underway and new programs funded by federal grants and the siting process for energy projects.

According to the department, the meeting will include a question-and-answer session on nuclear energy.
