UPDATED STORY Motorcycle found as search for missing Grottoes man continues in Swoope area

UPDATE: On Sunday, Oct. 15, Virginia State Police announced that, according to the Town of Grottoes Police Department, 22-year-old Jaden L. Wade had been safely located. 

GROTTOES — The Virginia State Police is asking for help locating a 22-year-old Augusta County resident who has been missing since Wednesday morning.

Police said that Jaden L. Wade was last seen leaving his residence in Grottoes at approximately 8 a.m. on Oct. 11.

He left on a 2019 Kawasaki 300cc motorcycle that is green and black in color, a press release said. The license plate is RIV3N. His motorcycle helmet is solid black with a "Dragon Ball Z" anime decal on the front. He could also be wearing black-and-gray Puma tennis shoes.

Police said Wade may be in or near the area of the Shenandoah National Park east of Grottoes.

"His personal safety and wellbeing are of concern," the release said.
