Virginia State Police: Man killed in ATV accident in Augusta County

CHURCHVILLE — Virginia State Police said a man was killed Thursday in an accident on an all-terrain vehicle in Augusta County.

Police said troopers responded at 5:44 p.m. to a single-vehicle crash on private property after an ATV overturned in the 500 block of Stover Shop Road in Churchville.

The operator of the ATV, an adult male, died at the scene, police said.

Additional details were not available Friday morning.

The crash remains under investigation.
