Visalia detectives investigate homicide at Seven Oaks Park

A late-night shooting left one person dead, and Visalia detectives are searching for the gunman.

Although few details have been released, here's what we know as of Monday.

Around 11:30 p.m. Sunday, officers were called to Seven Oaks Park for a report of a shooting. Seven Oaks is near Mary's Vineyard Shopping Center and Highway 198.

When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was rushed to Kaweah Health Medical Center, where he died.

The department didn't release the victim's name and age.

Violent Crimes detectives were called to the scene and took over the investigation. No suspect information was released.
