Downtown Summer Market is 4-9 p.m. on Avenue G in Fort Madison, with unique vendors, music, wine, beer sales, food court and more.

Henry County Health Center Foundation Shoe Sale Fundraiser is 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the Health Education Center (HEC) at HCHC, Mount Pleasant, with a variety of Brown’s Shoe Fit shoes, sandals, and other footwear, accepting cash, checks and credit cards. A portion of proceeds will help support HCHC Foundation programs.

Jefferson Street Farmers Market is 4:30 to 7 p.m. every Thursday through September.

Moose Lodge 579, 2529 Mount Pleasant St., will host Bingo, early bird at 6:30 p.m., regular games at 7 p.m. Yolanda's food will be available, dine in or carry out.

Mount Pleasant Community Band free, final concert is 7 p.m. in Central Park. The local P.E.O. groups will be selling pies in the park during the concert.

Steamboat Senior Center, 501 Jefferson St., will host live music from 1-3 p.m. Cover charge is a $2 donation.

FMAAA Art Center, 825 Avenue G, Fort Madison, Main Gallery opening reception is 5-7 p.m. for artist Lori Illner Greene's July exhibit, "Fragility and Impermanence."

Great River Players, 17 S. Sixth St., Youth Theatre presents Legally Blonde, Jr. at 7:30 p.m.

Heartland Harley Davidson, 117 S. Roosevelt Ave., Game and Movie Night is 8-11 p.m. Freewill donations for Toys for Tots will be taken.

Moose Lodge 579, 2529 Mount Pleasant St., will serve shrimp or chicken kabobs over rice or baked potato from 5-7 p.m. Schlatter and Schlatter will play from 7:30-10:30.

Great River Players, 17 S. Sixth St., Youth Theatre presents Legally Blonde, Jr. at 7:30 p.m.

Heritage Trust Preservation Station, 213 Valley St., is open 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays, selling unique vintage decorative items, and historic building materials.

Lee County Fair's free, non-rated Aulden Van Winkle Chess Tournament starts with registration at 9 a.m. with games at 10 a.m. at Lee County Fair Learning Center Building, Donnellson. Top two youth winners receive medals, adult section winner receives the Aulden Van Winker Traveling Clock Trophy for a year.

Mississippi Rat Pak Car Show is held rain or shine at the Hamilton, Illinois, City Park on Route 96 and 136, opening with registration at 8 a.m. Awards are 3:30 p.m.

Players Workshop, 1431 Grove St., annual fundraising garage sale is 8 a.m.-2 p.m. As nothing is pre-priced, you pay what you think your purchase is worth. A $1 bag sale starts at 1 p.m.

Symphonic Blast free SEISO concert is 8 p.m. at the Crapo Park band shell, including the Stars and Stripes Forever and the Star-Spangled Banner, closing with Tchaikovsky's famous 1812 Overture, with the music's cannon part fulfilled by fireworks exploding over the Mississippi River.

Burlington Municipal Band free concerts are 730 p.m. Sundays through Aug. 7 at the Crapo Park band shell. Mark Eveleth will conduct this concert.

Des Moines County Flea Market is 6 a.m. to noon at Des Moines County Fairgrounds, 1500 W. Agency Road, West Burlington.
