Visualizing the Second Democratic Debate - Mapping Tweets

Presidential candidates took part in the second primary debate on Saturday night at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. Former secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Vermont senator Bernie Sanders, and former Maryland governor Martin O’Malley debated on issues ranging from terrorism to taxes.

To give you an idea of where and what people around the country were tweeting about while watching the debate, Yahoo News put together these interactive maps. Click on markers on the maps to pull up an candidate-related tweet from the area. Tweets were collected in the period of time between 9pm - 11pm EST.
