WASHINGTON (NEXSTAR) – President Joe Biden appeared at Earth Rider Brewery in Superior, Wisconsin to speak about the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and the administration’s Investing in America agenda.

“We’re investing in America and jobs for American workers built with American products,” Biden said.

He announced $5 billion in funding for major transportation projects across the country as part of the agenda that includes the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, the CHIPS and Science Act, and the Inflation Reduction Act. Specifically, $1 billion to replace the Blatnik Bridge that connects Superior, Wisconsin to Duluth, Minnesota.

“For decades, people talked about replacing this bridge, but it never got done until today,” Biden proclaimed.

The president also correlated the investment in infrastructure to the rebounding economy, which grew by 3.1% GDP in 2023.

Biden continued, “we obviously have more work to do, but we’re making real progress. Building an economy from the middle out and the bottom up and not the top down.”
