“We will have great entertainment, delicious food, exhibitors, vendors, and much more," said Javier Molinares, president of event host Brevard Hispanic Center.

“An explosion of excitement is guaranteed!”

The festival draws attendees from across Brevard.

“We estimate that about 3,000 people will join the celebration,” added Molinares.

Expect a generous sampling of Latin dishes from Brevard’s best Hispanic restaurants. But don’t worry about consuming too many calories, since live music will pulsate throughout the day to keep your salsa, merengue, bachata and bomba abilities sharp.  Colorfully costumed cultural dance troupes will also perform throughout the day.

As for younger festivalgoers, the Kids’ Zone should keep them busy and entertained.

Sizzling weather should not be an issue. Although the festival has a large outdoor presence, there will a Business Expo inside the park’s air-conditioned building that attendees can use to cool off while perusing displays from businesses, government groups and civic organizations.

Outdoor tents will also be available, with plenty of seating to take a load off feet tired from dancing.

Festival proceeds help the nonprofit Brevard Hispanic Center with its many programs, available to Hispanics and non-Hispanics alike. Headquartered in Palm Bay, the Brevard Hispanic Center helps individuals and families in areas of education, health, family issues, immigration, and economic empowerment.

Having fun while helping others is a pretty good way to spend a day, don’t you think?
