Viva Las Vegas: Breeze offers nonstop flights

Sep. 9—WINDSOR LOCKS — Bradley International Airport has begun offering direct flights to Las Vegas, the second new nonstop flight announced in recent weeks by airport officials.

Flights from Bradley to Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas are being offered starting at $69 with Breeze Airways for a one-way ticket.

The $69 fare is available through Sept. 13.

"With the launch of new, nonstop service to Las Vegas with Breeze Airways, we are thrilled to offer our passengers now even more low-cost travel options," Connecticut Airport Authority executive director Kevin Dillon said.

The new service to Las Vegas operates year-round, twice a week on Breeze's new Airbus A220-300 aircraft.

"We're betting our Connecticut-area guests are going to love the new service to Las Vegas," Breeze Airways President Tom Doxey said. "With our affordable nonstop flights from Bradley Airport, now it's cheaper and easier than ever before to take a long weekend and visit the entertainment capital of the world."

Last week, Bradley officials announced nonstop flights to Jamaica for the first time. The Jamaica flights, through Spirit Airlines, are scheduled to begin on Dec. 15.

In May, Breeze Airways celebrated its one-year anniversary of flying out of Bradley.

Breeze has since named Bradley one of its national bases and now offers 11 nonstop flights out of the Windsor Locks airport.

Dillon said the routes show continued confidence in Bradley, as local officials look to strengthen the partnership with the airline in Connecticut.
