“At 4.33 a.m. today, I received a confirmation call from the technical directorate stating that everything is working fine across the country (I personally requested the call despite the late hour),” wrote Victoria Ruban, PR director of Vodafone Ukraine, on Facebook.

“However, this is the best wake-up call in recent days, allowing me to go back to sleep with peace of mind.”

Difficulties with voice communication for Vodafone Ukraine subscribers arose in the evening of May 30, affecting several regions including Kyiv and several oblasts. Data transmission, however, remained operational.

Vodafone Ukraine informed its subscribers on the evening of May 30 through Telegram that there were limitations on calls and SMS messages within the company’s network. Customers were advised to use messaging apps, if needed.

Earlier, it was reported that Ukraine’s Antimonopoly Committee approved Vodafone Ukraine’s acquisition of a stake in a major home internet operator, Freenet.
