Voice of the people: A new year, a new resiliency

Happy New Year 2022.
Happy New Year 2022.

A new year, a new resiliency

Praying for a positive productive year in 2022, entering the new year being optimistic, caring and understanding. My heart is heavy right now and my prayers go out to the families that were impacted by the tornados Dec. 21 in Arkansas, Illinois, Kentucky, Missouri, Mississippi and Tennessee.

It is vital, that we work together to build a better future for all the United States citizens. We can build buildings together, play athletic sports together, and, yes, work together but how come we cannot unite together. We need each other no matter if we agree or disagree with decisions that are made. Let’s be like a chain-link fence, connected and united to work together to make positive changes in our communities.

As we welcome 2022, let’s truly be the change we want to see in our society to make 2022 our year of bounce-back, resiliency and production. Let’s take proactive measures to serve our community and support our fellow citizens with meeting their needs. Let’s not wait until disaster happens in our back yard. We have the capacity to make a difference, so let’s all do our part.
