The Voice Kids star Pixie Lott has announced she is expecting her first child with husband Oliver Cheshire.

The singer and reality show judge shared the happy news with her followers in a sweet Instagram post.

"We are beyond excited to announce we are expecting our first child together and cannot wait to start a family of our own," read the caption, alongside a red heart emoji. The post featured three photos, with one showing Pixie and Oliver smiling alongside a baby ultrasound scan image.

Two further photos saw Pixie show cradling her baby bump, and her husband planting a kiss on her stomach.

Pixie's The Voice Kids co-star and McFly musician Danny Jones was one of many celebrities to share congratulations and to react to the news in the post's comment section.

Former TOWIE stars Joey Essex and Megan Mckenna also passed on their "congrats", whilst ex-Love Island host Laura Whitmore commented: "Congrats!!!!! Such fun ahead xx".

The happy news comes a year on from Pixie's wedding to her husband Oliver, a model. The couple tied the knot in June 2023.

In a piece for British Vogue, Pixie shared how learning of her pregnancy coincided with her first wedding anniversary.

"I was approaching the 28-week mark by the time we celebrated our first anniversary on 6 June, and we just feel very lucky that it's all working out," she wrote.

Pixie also revealed how her upcoming arrival isn't the only new member joining her family. "My sister had her first baby in December, and funnily enough my brother is also going to be a dad this November, so the timing is amazing," she said.

Pixie added that she and Oliver know the sex of their baby, but don't plan to share that information publicly, saying: "We were so excited to find out, it's nice to keep that information just for us."

The 'All About Tonight' singer went on to confirm that the baby is due sometime in September 2023, and shared her hopes that she can "bring the little bubba with me everywhere I go and keep working and keep having adventures".

"When I see someone like Rihanna continuing to perform while pregnant, I find it really inspiring," Pixie added. "There are some amazing women out there doing it – it's definitely possible.

"Of course, I haven't entered the newborn stage – they call it the fourth trimester – when you don't get much sleep. I'm very aware I might feel differently then."
