Volker calls Biden ‘honorable,’ rejects ‘conspiracy theory'

Kurt Volker, a former diplomat who was involved in discussions to get Ukraine to investigate corruption, said he did not know that was effectively a request to investigate former U.S. Vice President Joe Biden.

Volker testified on Tuesday (November 19) that all U.S. participants in the July 10 White House meeting thought U.S. ambassador Gordon Sondland's comments on the need for Ukrainian investigations were "inappropriate."

Volker added that during a meeting with Trump's personal lawyer Rudy Guiliani, he "rejected the conspiracy theory that Vice President Biden would have been influenced in his duties as vice president by money paid to his son."
