Volleyball: Vote now for lohud Player of the Week (Oct. 24-30)

After another exciting first couple rounds of playoff action, here are some standout performers. Last week, North Salem's Jules Aqeel was voted lohud Player of the Week.

We would like you, the reader, to survey our five different Player of the Week finalists and cast your vote. The players' credentials are listed above the fan poll — which will be live until 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. The winner will be announced on lohud social media accounts on Tuesday night.

Lauren Beberman, Mahopac

The Mahopac senior middle blocker led the way in a five-set Section 1 Class AA opening round win over Clarkstown South. She tallied 16 kills, 12 digs, two blocks and three aces, including one service ace that ended up being the match-clinching point.

Sequoia Layne, White Plains

The junior hitter was a catalyst in the Tigers' five-set comeback win over Carmel in the Section 1 Class AA opening round. She sparked White Plains offensively with 34 kills.

Chloe Morazzini, Ursuline

The senior hitter tallied 13 kills, 20 digs and two aces in a Section 1 Class A opening round win over Sleepy Hollow. She is also passing at 2.4 passing rate.

Julianna Simone, Nanuet

She had a career-high 18 kills, with six digs and three aces to help lead Nanuet in a Section 1 Class B opening-round sweep of Westlake.

Abigail Zelenz, Fox Lane

The sophomore setter was a late JV call-up after an injury. She's stepped up big for the Foxes and helps run their offense. During their Section 1 Class AA opening round matchup with John Jay-East Fishkill, she tallied 21 assists, seven digs and had five aces on 11 serves
