Volunteers help clean up Lake Tahoe beaches after Fourth of July

More than 100 volunteers gathered at six Lake Tahoe beaches Sunday to clean up trash left behind on the Fourth of July. The beach cleanup was part of the 7th annual Keep Tahoe Red, White Blue event. Each year, tourists and beachgoers leave behind hundreds of pounds of trash during the holiday. The League to Save Lake Tahoe organizes the cleanup each year. While this year presented some new challenges due to COVID-19, the event still had many loyal volunteers come out and help gather piles of garbage left behind. Get the full story in the video above.
