Volunteers can help seniors navigate insurance coverage options

Plan premiums, pharmacy networks and drug coverage change each year.

The Senior Health Information and Insurance Education program encourages seniors and their caregivers to review plan options each year during the annual open enrollment period, which this year is Saturday through Dec. 7.

Senior Health Information and Insurance Education volunteer counselors are available to people in the Aberdeen area by appointment to help people sort through the confusion and compare Medicare Part D plans during open enrollment.

For more information on Senior Health Information and Insurance Education and open enrollment appointments, contact Local Coordinator Shelly Alvine at 605-237-6088 or visit www.shiine.net online.
