Volunteers from St. Charles help at Tommy's House

Tommy’s House in Coldwater, a residential program for women overcoming substance use disorder was “invaded” on June 11 by the hardworking crew from Knights of Columbus Council 2900 and Columbian Squires from St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.

Fourteen teenagers and seven adults, including Seminarian Paul, helped with a variety of maintenance projects.

Some painted outside soffits, while others washed windows and sorted clothing and toiletry donations. Others cleaned up the yard.

The two largest projects were replacing broken basement steps and cleaning out the storage shed and installing shelving.

“What a blessing these youth and adults were and are to the community,” said Linda Dull, Tommy’s House administrative assistant. “They gave willingly of their time, talents and even materials to help a small ministry in need. A much-needed reminder of faith in action always blesses others.”
