The polls are open!
It's time to vote for the Volusia-Flagler-St. Johns Athlete of the Week for the week of Nov. 28-Dec. 3. Athletes for all in-season sports are eligible.
Last week, Tocoi Creek soccer player Peyton O'Keefe took home the honor, claiming 87% of the votes.
The News-Journal and Record gather nominees from scores and stats emailed to the sports desk during the week by coaches across the area. Coaches can email nominees to sports@news-jrnl.com.
Voting begins each Monday and closes at 10 a.m. Thursday. Votes are restricted to once per device per hour.

Basketball
Imani Ihaza, Pine Ridge: The sophomore finished with 17 points, six rebounds and four assists in a 41-39 defeat of Atlantic.
Karl Knighten, Matanzas: Knighten exploded for 38 points, making 20 of his 24 free-throw attempts in a victory over University.
Ben Ritchie, Ponte Vedra: Ritchie scored 27 points on 10-of-13 shooting and had five rebounds in a win over Bolles.
Bryanna Simmonds, Deltona: The senior dropped 25 points and 16 rebounds against Winter Park.
Soccer
Kaitlyn Herb, Spruce Creek: In three victories last week, the senior scored 12 — yes, 12 — goals and contributed two assists.
Bobby Hitchcock, Ponte Vedra: The junior notched two goals in a 6-0 victory over Tocoi Creek and added another in a 1-0 win against Englewood.
Dylan Remsburg, Atlantic: Remsburg finished with two goals and three assists in an 8-1 victory over Merritt Island Christian.
Wrestling
Christina Borgman, Matanzas: Borgman grabbed the top spot in the 120-pound weight class at the Lady Clash of the Titans, winning the first-place match by fall in 36 seconds.
Grady Bryant, DeLand: Bryant went 5-0 and won the 126-pound championship at the Clash of the Titans.
Willie Sims, Tocoi Creek: Sims took first place in the 132-pound weight class at the Arlington Optimist Invitational, claiming the final match by fall in 29 seconds.
