Volusia Sheriff's Office seeks witnesses to fatal Christmas Eve motorcycle crash in Deltona

Volusia sheriff's deputies are looking for witnesses to a crash in Deltona that left a motorcyclist dead.

Damien Valeros, 33, suffered fatal injuries on Christmas Eve when a car collided with his motorcycle at the intersection of Providence Boulevard and Doyle Road about 9:30 p.m., Laura Williams, a sheriff's office spokeswoman, said in a news release Monday.

The person driving told deputies they were traveling east on Doyle when they attempted to turn left onto Providence; Valeros was westbound on Doyle when the two collided, according to an incident report.

Valeros, a DeLand resident, died from his injuries at Central Florida Regional Hospital in Sanford, Williams said. No other injuries were reported.
