Volvo's 591-HP Polestar 1 Hybrid Is Happening for Real, and Here's the Proof

The 2020 Polestar 1 is finally coming into sharper focus after it was first shown in 2017. This 600-hp hybrid coupe from Volvo's new electrified division has entered pre-production at the Polestar factory in Chengdu, China, and the company took the opportunity to show off some enticing photos of these early-build vehicles.

Polestar has also shared more details on the launch of the car, saying that U.S. deliveries will begin sometime between the end of 2019 and the beginning of 2020. The 500 cars allocated for the first model year have already sold out, meaning those who put down a deposit will be first in line once they choose the final spec for their cars.
