It's time to take a look at the standout performers from Section V.

Your vote will determine who determine who will be the Player of the Week for August 29 - September 2. The players' credentials are listed above the poll — which will be live until 8 p.m. Wednesday. The winner will be announced on our Instagram page Thursday morning.

Jillian Ambler, Fairport

Senior attack scored two goals and assisted Fairport's other goal during a 3-1 win for the Red Raiders over East Rochester/Gates Chili.

Alley Armitage, Irondequoit

Sophomore won her first two matches of the season, both at first singles for the Eagles (2-0).

Megan Fry, Webster Schroeder

The senior goalkeeper has already logged 263 minutes over three soccer games, making 26 saves and allowing just one goal for the Warriors (1-1-1).

Tommy Gillett, Irondequoit

The junior midfielder has helped the Eagles off to a 2-0 start, assisting on a goal in a season-opening win over Brockport, then scoring three goals in a soccer win over Eastridge.

Mia Gray, Byron-Bergen

The freshman midfielder has six goals and three assists for the undefeated Bees, who have outscored opponents 18-0 in their first two soccer games.

Brendan Harrington, Penfield

Harrington put down 12 kills in a five-set, season opening win over Spencerport.

Justin Helmer, Victor

Dished out 24 assists and added four aces during a straight sets victory over Gates Chili.

Wrianna Hudson, Greece Athena

The junior scored two goals and assisted on another in each of the first two soccer games for the Trojans (2-0).

Myles Palmer, Fairport

The senior forward scored three goals in a season-opening soccer win vs. Victor.

Lucrezia Pavan, Brighton

Had a monster match with 15 kills, four aces and seven digs during a five-set win over Spencerport.

John Siblosky, Waterloo

Senior shot a five-under par score of 30, including six birdies at Silver Creek Golf Club during a Finger Lakes league division crossover match in Waterloo.

Cassie Spencer, Webster Thomas

Sophomore also began the Section V girls tennis season 2-0 with victories at first singles for the Titans.

Emma Sweazy, Rush-Henrietta

Sophomore was medalist of matches at Wild Wood in Rush and Eagle Vale in Fairport.

Julia Zigrossi, Mercy

Senior was medalist in two golf matches, including a one-under par 32 at Champions Hill in Victor.

Karlee Zinkievich, Pavilion

The two-time Section V champs opened the season with a five-set win over Alexander thanks to Zinkievich's 10 kills, 10 digs and four aces.
