Here's the Augusta-area high school football player of the week for Week 7
The vote is in for the Augusta-area high school football player of the week for Week 7.
Grovetown quarterback Amare Clark took the top spot with 85 percent of the vote. Hephzibah tailback Telly Johnson was runner-up with six percent.

Amare Clark, Grovetown
Clark completed 24 of 43 passes for 266 yards and four touchdowns in Wednesday’s 56-39 loss to Brunswick. He also added 16 carries for 120 yards and a touchdown on the ground.
James Pride, Laney
Pride carried the football 15 times for 188 yards (with a long of 53) in Laney’s 28-18 win over Washington County.
DJ Curry, North Augusta
Curry carried the football 25 times for 131 yards and a touchdown in North Augusta’s 24-20 win over South Aiken.
Telly Johnson, Hephzibah
Johnson had 16 carries for 184 yards and four touchdowns in Hephzibah’s 37-6 win over Salem. It’s the second-straight week Johnson has scored four times on the ground.
Levi Murphey, Westminster Schools of Augusta
Murphy completed nine of 14 passes for 145 yards and three touchdowns in Westminster’s 41-0 win over the Augusta Eagles. He also added three rushes for 42 yards and a touchdown on the ground.
Jason Williams, Harlem
Williams rushed for 88 yards and two touchdowns on just four carries in Harlem’s 54-12 win over Cross Creek.
Rayshaun King, Evans
King had 14 carries for 70 yards and two touchdowns in Evans’ 21-20 loss to Lakeside.
