Meet the Battle Creek Enquirer Athletes of the Week, presented by Oaklawn Hospital.

Each week during the high school winter sports season, we will ask our readers to vote for the top performance of the week in all the fall sports, taking a look at events from Monday-Saturday.

Make sure to vote early and often for your pick, as the winner will get an Enquirer Athlete of the Week T-shirt. Fans can vote for their favorite athlete until Wednesday at 5 p.m.

Lakeview Swimming and Diving

Lakeview won the Southwestern Michigan Athletic Conference Swimming and Diving Championship Meet. senior Hunter Hayes-Boyer was the lone first-place finisher for the Spartans, as he repeated as conference champ in diving with a score of 404.05.

Harper Creek Swimming and Diving

Highlighting the day at the Southwestern & Central Conference Championship Meet for Harper Creek was Justin LaFleur's school-record time of 1:45.76 in the 200 freestyle, giving him second in the event. LaFleur also took second in the 500 free.

Climax-Scotts/Martin Wrestling

The Climax-Scotts/Martin co-op wrestling team shocked undefeated New Lothrop in the state quarterfinals at the MHSAA State Team Championships at Wings Stadium. Logan Gilbert earned the first win of the day for Climax-Scotts/Martin, getting a pin at 106 pounds. Climax-Scotts/Martin went on to beat New Lothrop, 38-29, to advance to the Final Four.

Marshall Boys Basketball

Marshall clinched the Interstate 8 Conference title in boys basketball for the second year in a row after defeating Hastings in the final league game of the season on Friday, 53-26. Senior Josh Pugh was big once again for the Redhawks with 16 points, six assists and five rebounds. He also had 22 points in a win over Jackson Northwest earlier in the week.
