Matt Auble

A senior at Warsaw, he set the Section V Indoor Track weight throw record for the second time this season, after a heave of 70 feet, three quarters of an inch during the section's qualifier for the state championships at Nazareth College.

Logan Corteux

Red Creek junior can represent Section V in two wheelchair events at the indoor track state championships March 4 on Staten Island, after he won the 55-meter and 300-meter state meet qualifiers at Nazareth College.

Melody Harloff

Victor senior won two events during the indoor track meet known as the Meet of Champions, Section V's qualifier for the upcoming state championships, making her the area's overall 55-meter champion and 300-meter champion.

Francis Nwokonko

Brockport's 6-foot-4 inch senior scored the game-winning basket of the fourth-seeded Blue Devils' 59-58 win over No. 5 Churchville-Chili in Saturday's Section V Class A1 boys basketball quarterfinals. Brockport trailed by one when Nwokonko made a layup with about 30 seconds left. The Blue Devils play No. 1 Greece in Wednesday's semifinals.

Manny Sepulveda

East Rochester senior is Section V indoor track's overall long jump and triple jump champion after winning those events during the area's Meet of Champions at Nazareth College.

Trent Sibble

Bolivar-Richburg senior won a state wrestling championship Saturday night, after losing in overtime during the 2022 state finals.

OJ Singletary

University Prep senior is eligible to compete in two individual events at the upcoming indoor track state championships after he won the 55- and 300-meter dashes during Section V's qualifier.

Colin Smith

The senior goalie helped No. 3 seed Webster Schroeder win the Section V Class B hockey championship, making 40 saves in a semifinal win over No. 2 Aquinas, then 45 saves in Sunday’s championship win over No. 1 Churchville-Chili.

Caleb Sweet

South Seneca senior pinned his first three opponents at the state wrestling championships, then won a major decision, 17-4, in the Division II 145-pound final.

Brady Unger

Fairport senior became a state wrestling champion after completing an undefeated season at the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Championships.
