Vote for the Community Credit Union Florida Athlete of the Week for Oct. 10-15, 2022
It is time again to vote for the Community Credit Union Florida Athlete of the Week at 321preps.com and floridatoday.com.
The following athletes were nominated for their performances from Oct. 10-15. You will find the ballot at the bottom of the page. Be sure to refresh if the poll isn't visible upon first loading. Voting will be open until noon on Thursday.
Last week's winner was Nicolle Riopelle of West Shore swimming.
Riopelle received 20,068 of 42,446 votes cast at 321preps.com. Lindsey Angermeier (12,150 votes) of Edgewood volleyball and Jeremiah King (5,564) of Brevard Heat swimming followed.
Coaches and athletic directors are invited to nominate athletes each week. E-mail the athlete's accomplishments for the previous Monday through Saturday to bmccallum@floridatoday.com by 10 a.m. each Monday.
Here are this week's nominees:
Catherine Bennett, Brevard Heat volleyball
Bennett recorded 16 kills and four blocks on Thursday against Master's Academy. It was her season high for kills.
Blake Boda, Cocoa football
Boda completed all 18 pass attempts for 267 yards and four touchdowns in Friday's win over Titusville.
Jennifer Chiarillo, Eau Gallie bowling
Chiarillo bowled a game of 252 on Thursday at Palm Bay Shore Lanes in a match against Palm Bay
Traven Green, Rockledge football
Green threw three touchdown passes and ran for another on Friday in a win against Satellite.
Hannah Hall, Viera golf
Hall shot a 1-under-par round of 35 for nine holes in a match against Satellite at Duran Golf Club on Tuesday.
Luke Knight, Merritt Island football
Knight threw a pair of touchdown passes and ran for two others on Friday as the Mustangs won at Bayside.
Brogan McNabb, Holy Trinity football
McNabb rushed for three touchdowns and passed for a 64-yard score in Friday's win over Father Lopez.
Shamiah Richardson, Space Coast volleyball
Richardson recorded nine assists and 12 kills versus Heritage and five aces, 14 assists against Odyssey Charter last week. She passed 1,000 career assists.
Woodrow Sweet, Melbourne football
Sweet recorded 15 tackles, 10 of them solo, and sacked the quarterback once Friday at Heritage.
Kimber Thompson, Satellite volleyball
Thompson had 22 assists, three aces and 10 digs against Edgewood along with 35 assists and 12 digs versus Space Coast.
Tyler Wickfelder, Edgewood bowling
Wickfelder bowled a game of 267 against Cocoa on Wednesday in a match at Merritt Island Shore Lanes. He posted a 220 in Wednesday's match against Cocoa Beach.
