North Star senior, Salisbury-Elk Lick junior selected Athlete of the Week for Jan. 14-20
Elissa Barron, a North Star senior rifle team member was voted Daily American Somerset County Female Athlete of the Week while Salisbury-Elk Lick junior basketball player Daulton Sellers earned Male Athlete of the Week honors for their performances Jan. 14-20.
Barron fired a 286 to lead the Cougars to a victory over Somerset on Jan. 19.
Meanwhile, In two games, Sellers recorded 56 points, including 42 in an overtime victory over Rockwood.

Each Monday, the Daily American will select nominees for the Male and Female Athlete of the Week in Somerset County for the winter sports season.
We will post the polls each Monday at 5 p.m., and voters will have through Wednesday at 5 p.m. to vote. Votes are limited to one per IP address or computer network.
