Greenville's Mazeo Bennett is The Greenville News football Athlete of the Week
After receiving 37% of the total vote, Greenville athlete Mazeo Bennett has been selected as The Greenville News high school football Athlete of the Week from the quarterfinals of the SCHSL playoffs. Bennett rushed for 100 yards with two touchdowns on seven carries in Greenville's 42-27 win over Catawba Ridge (11-2).
In second, with 31% of the vote, is St. Joseph's William Gillespie, who ran for 64 yards with two touchdowns and had an interception in St. Joseph's 55-8 win over Wagener-Salley (9-4). And in third, with 10% of the vote, is Christ Church (12-1) running back Dashun Reeder, who rushed for 248 yards with two touchdowns on 27 carries in the Cavaliers' 47-14 win over Lewisville (11-2).

Joseph Mikesell, Christ Church: Mikesell had two interceptions, including one that he returned for a 35-yard touchdown, in Christ Church's 47-14 win over Lewisville (11-2).
Dashun Reeder, Christ Church: Reeder rushed for 248 yards with two touchdowns on 27 carries.
Mazeo Bennett, Greenville: Bennett rushed for 100 yards with two touchdowns on seven carries in Greenville's 42-27 win over Catawba Ridge (11-2).
William Gillespie, St. Joseph's: Gillespie ran for 64 yards with two touchdowns and had an interception in St. Joseph's 55-8 win over Wagener-Salley (9-4).
Walker Wood, St. Joseph's: Wood ran for two touchdowns, threw for another and added a two-point conversion.
Harrison Zinkann, St. Joseph's: Zinkann ran for 115 yards with two touchdowns on just six carries.
