The high school winter season is nearing conclusion for Greater Fall River teams.
Every week during the school year The Herald News will hold a vote for the Player of the Week.
Somerset Berkley’s Max Aguiar won the Player of the Week honors for Feb. 7-13.
Aguiar, who scored a hat trick in a win against DR/Seekonk., collected 30% percent of the vote to take first place.
Diman’s Jacob Almeida finished second (20%), followed by Connolly’s Jah Stephenson (10%).
This poll, which ends on Feb. 25, involves indoor track, hockey, boys and girls basketball athetes.

Here are the nominees for the week of Feb.14-20:
BOYS BASKETBALL
Alex Krynicki, Connolly
Krynicki had a team-high 21 points against Dartmouth. He also had a team-high 19 points in an earlier against Dartmouth.
Ethan Dias, Somerset Berkley
Dias scored a game-high 33 points and grabbed 20 rebounds in SB playoff clinching win against Joseph Case. He also had 24 points and 18 rebounds against Seekonk.
Domanick Vitorino, Westport
Vitorino had a team-high 18 points against Connolly.
Jah Stephenson, Connolly
Stephenson netted a team-high 18 points against Westport. He also had 20 points, including key free-throws late against Joseph Case.
Jeyden Espinal, Durfee
Espinal had a team-high 20 points against Braintree.
Erza Cote, Diman
Cote finished with a team-high 18 against Tri-County.
Aidan Rock, Westport
Rock scored a game-high 22 points against Diman.
Hayden Cayton, Joseph Case
Cayton scored 17 points against Fairhaven.
Miguel Pimentel, Atlantis Charter
Pimental finished with a team-high 20 points against Bristol-Plymouth.
Ethan Clark, Bishop Stang
Clark hit the game-winning shot and scored 12 points against Cathedral.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Mackenzie Carreiro, Durfee
Carreiro scored her 1,000th career point in a victory against Brockton. She also had a team-high 24 points against Tech Boston.
Mya Hayes-Paulette, Durfee
Hayes-Paulette scored 14 points in a win against Brockton. She finished with 16 points against Tech Boston.
Lily Pichette, Westport
Pichette scored a career-high 32 points aganst Connolly.
Brooke Orton, Joseph Case
Orton finished with a game-high 18 points against Somerset Berkley.
Abigail Sirois, Joseph Case
Sirois finished with 12 points and 14 rebounds against Apponequet.
Megan Molloy, Westport
Molloy had a career game, finishing with a game-high 14 points, 11 rebounds, and three steals against Avon.
Hannah Anselmo, Connolly
Anselmo had 15 points, six rebounds, four assists and five steals against Old Colony. She also netted a season-high 21 points against Southeastern.
Abigail Gajewski, Somerset Berkley
Gajewski led all scorers with a game-high 18 points, double digits in rebounds and five shots against Seekonk. She also scored 20 points against Greater New Bedford.
Leah Sylvain, Westport
Sylvain had a game-high 17 points, two rebounds, four assists, seven steals and six blocks against Diman.
Hannah Martin, Diman
Martin netted a team-high 19 points against Old Colony.
HOCKEY
Bryce Medeiros, Diman
Medeiros had two goals and three assists against Greater New Bedford.
Davis Sullivan, Somerset Berkley
Sullivan had two goals and assist against Mansfield.
Brandon Silva, Somerset Berkley
Silva had 33 saves in net against Mansfield.
Mikayla Brightman, Bishop Stang
Brightman scored a pair of goals and dished out an assist in a tie against Arlington Catholic.
INDOOR TRACK
Cole Taylor, Somerset Berkley
Cole advances to All State after finishing second overall in Wednesday's MIAA Division III Indoor Track and Field championships.
Jacob Chouinard, Diman
Chouinard placed seventh in the long jump during Thursday's MIAA Division IV Indoor Track and Field championship.
Shakira Cadet, Durfee
Cadet captured three medals during Saturday's MIAA Division I Indoor Track and Field championships.
Hannah Santos, Joseph Case
Santos took third place in the high jump during Friday's MIAA Division V Indoor Track and Field championships.
Olivia Silva, Joseph Case
Silva placed sixth in the shot put during Friday's MIAA Division V Indoor Track and Field championships.
Megan Smith, Joseph Case
Smith ran with the 4x800 relay team and placed eighth during Friday's MIAA Division V Indoor Track and Field championships. .
Emily Greene, Joseph Case
Greene ran with the 4x800 relay team and placed eighth during Friday's MIAA Division V Indoor Track and Field championships. .
