Andrew Daily, Brighton golf
Daily had the low score for Brighton, which won the KLAA preseason tournament. Daily shot par with a 72 at Kensington Metropark Golf Course to tie for second place, two strokes behind leader Ryan Gallagher of Northville. He shot 76 to tie for 10th in the Wayne Wire Cloth tournament at The Fortress.
Sophie Daugard, Howell track and field
Daugard became only the second girl in Livingston County history to break 40 feet in the shot put, winning the Highland Games with a throw of 41 feet, 10.75 inches. She also won the long jump with a personal-best effort of 17-2.75 and took second in the 100-meter dash in 13.17 seconds, leading Howell to the team championship.
Zaryah Griffin, Pinckney soccer
Griffin scored two goals and three assists in a 6-0 victory over Ypsilanti and two goals in a 3-2 victory over 13th-ranked Division 3 Milan. She has 11 goals and four assists in six games.
Thomas Haataja, Howell lacrosse
Haataja had 10 goals and nine assists in Howell’s three victories last week. He had three goals and six assists against Belleville, three goals and two assists against Canton, and four goals and one assist against Oxford.
Audrey Johnson, Livingston Christian soccer
Johnson scored five goals and one assist in a 6-5 victory over Charyl Stockwell. She has scored 15 of the Falcons’ 16 goals in the first four games, leading the second-year program to a 3-1 start.
